The Little Manor - A restored Grade 11 listed house in Swanage. The European architect designed house from 1861 overlooks the hills leading to Old Harry Rocks. The house is situated on the outskirts of Swanage (1600 m from the beach). There are lovely walks to Studland, Swanage Steam Railway and Corfe Castle. Book a table at the famous Pig Hotel and walk there via the Oblisk on the hill. Walking across the field opposite to the steam railway stop at Herston Halt provides a real life "Railway Children" experience; simply flag down the train at this request stop! Back at the house, the traditional decor is complimented by Jim Lawrence lighting and many of the beds are from "And So To Bed". The Shaker kitchen can support a banquet evening in the dining room. "The Little Manor" retains many of its original features including a working fireplace. There are six double bedrooms and one single/ playroom; a table-tennis room at the rear; one bathroom; one shower room; one bedroom has an ensuite. All the bedrooms are evenly sized and spread over the three storey house. The south facing garden has loungers and a firepit for the evenings. Parking is directly outside and there is also bay parking. Swanage is naturally generally busy for Regatta week but there are always amazing walks to get away from it all. (Our personal favourtie is Aglestone rock.)
